The design team views the bus stop as an urban icon. As an architectural and structural unit, it helps to complete the physical and imaginary construct of the urban fabric. The design also fits with in the reality of public projects, using durable and affordable materials as well as simple methods of construction. This design helps to reintroduce an idea that is often overlooked or forgotten throughout regular Architectural practices of community service. The idea that designers and Architects can have a positive impact on a community through good design.
